Dear APA Members,

As your APA Bargaining Chair and Statewide VP, I would like to share a quick update on contract negotiations; Finally, we have a verbal agreement with BHE on our new CBA. You will soon be hearing about the several language changes in our contract that we were able to negotiate this round. Our new Contract will cover from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027. 

The APA Website will soon have documents and updates that members should take some time to review. Over the next few weeks, the Executive Board will be working hard on putting together some information sessions to present to membership where we will explain the language changes that we were able to negotiate during this round of Bargaining and answer any questions you may have. We are also working on getting this info posted on the APA Website as soon as possible and additionally we hope to have an info session video and and updates on the upcoming Ratification Vote. 

After we receive the written copy of our Agreement from the commonwealth’s legal representatives Rubin Rudman the next step will be to hold a ratification vote for membership for this three-year contract. The ratification vote will be accomplished electronically through email. You will have a 96-hour window in which to vote and will receive credentials and instructions through your campus email account.  It will be a simple two-question ballot. If all goes smoothly, we are endeavoring to hold this Ratification vote by the end of January. More information on this will be forthcoming, once the signed Memorandum of Agreement is in hand.
