President’s Report

  1. Payroll regarding contracts raises. Each campuses may be doing the retro pay differently.
  2. MTA 2022 Annual Meeting May 20-21. 18 Delegates registered (11 as In-Person, 7 Virtual). Deadline to register has been extended to April 25th.
  3. Meeting occurred with Management to try and finalize the Starting/Ending Salary Ranges listed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Website – Gerol Petruzella

  1. 1 March – 31 March 2022
    1. Website Overview – Users. During March 2022, maapa.org saw increases in both users and sessions relative to February 2022 (Figure 1). The most popular days/times for users to visit the site were Thursdays between 10a and 4p ET, then Wednesdays 10a-3p and Mondays between 10a and 1p ET (Figure 2).
    2. Website Overview – Traffic. Traffic to maapa.org was predominantly direct traffic or the result of a Google search (Figure 3). The top 10 most visited pages are indicated (Figure 4).
    3. Website Overview – Other. I performed content updates on the site including:
      a. Updated meeting minutes.
  2. I continued to maintain an internal WordPress instance of the site in parallel with the “live” Drupal instance. As the Drupal instance falls further behind in security updates, I continue to recommend transitioning to the WordPress CMS as soon as
    possible.

Health and Welfare Fund Report – Mike Storey

  1. Next meetings – April 8th was postposed to May 6th and May 13th moved to June
  2. The financial group overseeing the Fund sent trustees information regarding divesting from any investments that involve Russia because of their invasion of Ukraine. This will definitely be on our April agenda and we could potentially take a vote to divest at that meeting.

    Retroactive to the first pay period of July 2020 for *eligible* unit members: a 2.5% increase
    *Year 1 Eligible Employees: Unit members who were employed from the first pay period in July 2020 through the first pay period in July 2021 and those who retired between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021
    Year 2.
    Retroactive to the first pay period of July 2021 for *eligible* unit members: a 2.0% increase.
    *Year 2 Eligible Employees: Unit members who were employed as of the first pay period of July 2021
    After the 2.5 and 2.0% salary increases are applied to the *eligible recipients, a one-time COVID-recognition bonus of 1.5% of base salary or $1000.00, whichever is greater, will be provided to eligible unit members.
    *1.5% Bonus Eligibility: Active Unit members who were employed as of July 1, 2021 and remain employed on the date of execution of this Memorandum of Agreement (September 20, 2021)
    Year 3.
    On the first pay period of July 2022: a 2% increase for all unit members who are then employed
  3. Logo contest. Approximately 21 entries submitted from approximately 11 individuals. The Executive Board will rank all of the logos by April 29th and then the top 3 or 4 entries will be sent to the membership for consideration.

  4. May 2022 APA Executive Board Meeting at the MTA Annual Meeting.
