Contract updates
- Must use Accrued Vacation before December 31st else one-time roll-over to Accrued Sick Time
Salem State Furlough
- Negotiated memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the week of July 19-25.
- MOA for requires employees to take two weeks of furlough proposal before December 31, 2020
- Discussing the additional two (2) weeks for Fiscal Year 2021 in November.
Colleen Fitzpatrick (attending for C. Santiago):
- Day of Action on August 19, 2020.
- Higher Education Leadership Council (HELC) – Requesting of the MTA that there be more field representatives.
State-wide returning to work guidelines and tele-communting/tele-working policy. Zoom account for APA:
- Annual cost would be $299.00 for the Professional License.
- Account to be maintained by the APA State-wide Treasurer.

- Discussion regarding Retiree Membership for APA and have a Retiree Member on the APA Executive Board. Suggestion was made that these individuals must pay the MTA Retiree Dues and $1.00 APA Dues annually.
- Motion: Move to create a membership category of Retired APA Member and consider creating an Executive Board Representative position within APA By-laws.

- Adding Parliamentarian responsibilities to APA State-wide Secretary responsibilities.
- MTA Field Staff currently in contract negotiations with MTA management and need the support of the APA.
- Add to APA website – information pertaining to Employee Assistance Program.
